Project Scope
  • Two deep draught container berths for handling a maximum up to 14,000 TEU vessels with total length of 810 m
  • 6.0 km long breakwater & total rock quantity – 3.0 million MT approx.
  • Artificially created basin is dredged up to depth of -17.5 m CD having turning circle of 700 m diameter and approach channel of 450 m length.
  • Backup area development
  • Container yard – 890 m x 475 m
  • Present yard has provision of 10,680 terminal ground slots (TGS) with adequate reefer handling capacity
  • Development of container railway yard & 5.5km of railway track from R&D yard to container yard (3 railway lines inside yard)

  • RMQCs – 6 nos. RMQC: 65m outreach with 22 across, 20m back-reach
  • E-RTGs layout 7+1: 26.5m span, 1 over 5 high with low bus bar system including spares.
